- Verify that printer sharing has been enabled on the computer that the printer is physically attached to.
- From the Start menu, point to Settings and then click Printers.
- Double-click Add new printer, and then follow the steps to install a network printer. It is recommended that you click Browse to locate the correct computer name and the printer share name across the network. If you are prompted for drivers during the installation, you may be able to use the original driver CD that came with the printer or refer to the printer manufacturer for further driver information or installation instructions.
Windows XP
