IBM PCI Token-Ring Driver Installation in Windows NT 3.51

- On your desktop, double-click the Main group icon. In Main, double-click the Control Panel icon. In Control Pnael, double-click the Networks icon. The Network installer will start. Select Yes when prompted to install networking components.

- Enter the path for the Windows NT CD or the location on the hard disk where the I386 directory is located.

- When prompted for whether or not Windows NT should detect the network card, select Do Not Detect.

- Setup will say that it did not detect a network card, click Continue to pick the network card manually.

- When the Add Network Adapter dialog box appears, select Other, Requires disk from manufacturer. Click Continue.

- Network Setup will prompt for the manufacturer's disk. Insert Disk 2 into the floppy disk drive. Enter the path: A:\Nt. Click OK.

- Under the Select OEM Option dialog box, select the IBM PCI Token-Ring adapter, and click OK.

- Choose the proper setting for the network card. Click Advanced. The default listings for the card are shown in the hyperlinked graphics. These will be blank, and must be filled-in manually. Click OK when complete.

- Select the protocols used to connect to the network, if TCP/IP is chosen, the following dialog box appears. Click Continue when finished.

- The Network Setting dialog box appears, click Configure for the network settings, or click Bindings for advanced options.

- If IPX/SPX was selected, the following configuration screen appears for the Novell protocol. Click OK when done.

- Enter either a Workgroup or Domain Name and click OK.

- Windows NT will prompt to restart the computer, the installation is complete.
