Q: How do I keep the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar from disappearing?A:
In Windows Vista™, when coming out of sleep mode, the Bluetooth icon  on the taskbar may disappear. Bluetooth still functions but the icon is missing from the taskbar.
Follow these steps to keep the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar.
- To get the Bluetooth icon back on the taskbar, restart the computer or press and hold the FN key, then press F6 key, and then release both keys. Repeat the sequence.
- On the taskbar, right-click the Bluetooth icon, and then click Open Bluetooth Settings.
- In the Bluetooth Devices dialog box, click the Options tab.
- On the Options tab place a check mark in the Show the Bluetooth icon in the notification area box, and then click OK.
For more information about Bluetooth, from the Windows Vista™ Start menu, click Help and Support. In the Search Help box, type the keyword Bluetooth, and then press ENTER.
