Q: How do I program the multi-function buttons on the Gateway M500 series notebook?

A: How to Program the Multi-Function Buttons

Note: Launch Manager allows you to program the four multi-function buttons but not the wireless button.

  1. From the Start menu, point to All Programs, Launch Manager, and then click Launch Manager.

  2. In the Launch Manager dialog box, select the button you want to program, and then click Add.

  3. In the Customize Launch Keys dialog box, in the New Name text box, type a new name for the program. In the Full Path text box, type the path to the program or browse to the program.

  4. Click OK.

  5. In the Launch Manager dialog box, click OK.

Note: You can add multiple programs to the button, and then use the drop-down list to change to another program in your list.

How to Delete a Program from the List

  1. From the Start menu, point to All Programs, Launch Manager, and then click Launch Manager.

  2. In the Launch Manager dialog box, select the button you want to program, and then click Delete.

  3. In the Delete dialog box, select the program you want to delete, and then click Delete.

  4. In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
