Component Icon Description
A. LCD display panel  
  • 15.0-inch or 15.4-inch active matrix (TFT) LCD color display
  • Maximum panel resolution: 1280 × 800 (15.4-inch) and 1440 × 1050 (15.0-inch)
  • Maximum color depth: 32-bit (16.7 million colors) at 1024 × 768 and 262,144 colors at 1280 × 768
B. Power button Power button icon Press to turn the power on or off. You can also configure the power button for Standby/Resume mode.
C. Microphone   Record audio through this microphone. The built-in microphone is turned off while an external microphone is connected.
D. EZ Point™ pointing device buttons   Provides all the functionality of mouse buttons.
E. Status indicators   Informs you when a drive is in use or when a button has been pressed that affects how the keyboard is used.
F. Touchpad   Provides all the functionality of a mouse.

G. Keyboard   Provides all the features of a full-sized keyboard.
H. EZ Point™ pointing device   To use the pointing device:

  • Move the pointer (arrow) on the screen or scroll a document on the screen
  • Single tap to select an item
  • Double tap to open an item or start a program
  • Tap and hold, and then move the device to move an item
