Inside view This is the inside view of the Gateway® M405 notebook.

Component Icon Description
A. LCD screen   The thin film transistor (TFT) LCD provides sharp, crisp resolution with a backlit anti-glare screen.
B. Keyboard   Provides all the features of a full-sized 86-key keyboard.
C. Power button Power button Press to turn the power on or off.
D. Status indicators   Informs you when a drive is in use or when a button has been pressed that affects how the keyboard is used.
E. Multi-function buttons   Press these buttons to open programs assigned to them. These buttons are set to open your default e-mail program, your default Web browser, online help, and the My Computer window. The multi-function buttons on this notebook are not re-programmable.
F. Touchpad   Provides all the functionality of a mouse.
