Q: Why is my video jerky when watching a DVD on the Gateway M305CRV notebook?

A: When watching a DVD on the Gateway® M305CRV notebook using Win DVD or Windows Media player, the video may be jerky when you are using the FN + volume up or down keys. This also can occur when you change the brightness of the LCD panel using the FN + brightness keys. This is normal operation. When using the keyboard to adjust either setting, the processor is interrupted in order to check the volume or brightness levels. If you use the DVD software or Windows Media Player to adjust the sound, the video plays fine.
