Q: How do I make an audio recording using the Gateway M275 Convertible Tablet Notebook?

A: Use the following instructions to make an audio recording by speaking into a microphone using the Gateway® M275 Convertible Tablet Notebook.

  1. Use the built-in microphone located on the LCD panel or plug a microphone into the microphone jack on your computer or the optional port replicator.

  2. From the Start menu, point to Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, and then click Sound Recorder.

  3. In the Sound Recorder dialog box, click Record button (record), and then speak into the microphone.

  4. When you finish recording, click Stop button (stop).

  5. From the File menu, click Save As.

  6. In the Save As dialog box, name the recording, specify the location, and then click Save. The recording is saved.

Use the following instructions to play an audio recording in the Sound Recorder.

  1. From the Start menu, point to Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, and then click Sound Recorder.

  2. In the Sound Recorder dialog box, from the File menu, click Open.

  3. Select the file you want to play back, and then click Open.

  4. Play the file by clicking Play button (play). Stop playing the file by clicking Stop button (stop).
