The status indicators on the Gateway® M250 notebook inform you when a drive is being used or when a button has been pressed that affects how the keyboard is used. Press the function keys Fn + F1, to toggle the status lights on or off.

- LED on - AC power is connected
- LED off - AC power is not connected

| B. Wireless (Optional) |

- LED on - Wireless network card is on
- LED off - Wireless network card is off

| C. Caps Lock |

- LED on - Caps Lock is turned on
- LED off - Caps Lock is not activated
|
| D. Num Lock |
 |
- LED on - Numeric keypad is turned on
- LED off - Numeric keypad is not activated

| E. Hard drive or disc drive |
 |
- LED blinking - Computer is accessing the hard drive or disk drive
- LED off - No hard drive activity
