A: Follow these steps to change the alarm options.

  1. Open Control Panel.

    • In Microsoft® Windows® XP, from the Start menu, click Control Panel. The Control Panel window opens. If your Control Panel is in category view, click Performance and Maintenance.
    • In Windows 2000, from the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. The Control Panel window opens.

  2. In Control Panel, click or double-click the Power Options or Power Management icon.

  3. In the Power Options Properties dialog box, click the Alarms tab.

  4. On the Alarms tab, adjust the settings.

  5. Click OK.
