Q: How do I change the power scheme on the Gateway M350WVN notebook?

A: Use the following steps to change the power scheme.

  1. Open Control Panel.

    • In Microsoft® Windows® XP, from the Start menu, click Control Panel. In category view, click Performance and Maintenance.
    • In Windows 2000, from the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. The Control Panel window opens.

  2. In Control Panel, click or double-click the Power Options or Power Management icon.

  3. In the Power Options Properties dialog box, in the Power Scheme list, click the power scheme you want. Another option is to set the timers, and then save your custom power scheme by clicking Save As and typing a name for the scheme.

  4. Click OK.
