Q: How can I tell if my Gateway M350WVN has Hyper-Threading Technology (HTT)?

A:
  1. The palm rest of the Gateway® M350WVN with Hyper-Threading Technology (HTT) has an Intel Inside Pentium 4 HTT sticker on it.

  2. The Intel® Inside logo on the BIOS flash screen (the screen when the computer is starting up) shows the HTT logo.

  3. Inside Windows® there are additional ways to determine if your notebook has HTT:

    1. Press Ctrl/Alt/Delete, click Task Manager and then click the Performance tab. CPU Usage History shows two graphs.

    2. Device Manager shows two processors. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. Click the + sign in front of Processors. Two processors are listed.

  4. The Advanced page of the BIOS Setup Utility shows the Hyper-Threading Technology option. Press the F2 key as the computer is starting up to enter the BIOS Setup Utility. In the BIOS Setup Utility, use the RIGHT ARROW key to select the Advanced tab. The Hyper-Threading Technology option is listed.
