Q: Why is there a "Memory Size was Changed" DMI event on the Gateway M350WVN notebook?

A: The notebooks are tested prior to shipping. During the testing different amounts of RAM may be used than what was ordered with the computer. The change in the RAM produces a "Pre-Boot Error: Memory Size was Changed" DMI event in the BIOS. This does not indicate a problem. To remove this DMI event, in the BIOS, clear all DMI event logs .
