Q: Can I change the video output modes on the Gateway M350WVN notebook while watching a DVD?

A: No. When playing a DVD movie, the Intel Graphics Options "Output To" option only displays "Monitor" or "Extended Desktop". "Notebook" and "Clone" modes are no longer listed as options until the DVD player is closed. This is by design. The BIOS is set up to ignore output changes when running a video overlay application, such as a DVD player.
