Multimedia Panel
      Show Part Numbers

The optional illuminated multimedia touch controls are used to control playback of CDs and DVDs and open associated applications. The panel includes a capacitive volume control.

Left side panel:

Multimedia buttons

Button Description
Button Video - Opens Media Center (Windows Vista® Home Premium or Windows Vista® Ultimate) or the DVD player program (Windows Vista® Home Basic).
Button Audio - Opens Media Center (Windows Vista® Home Premium or Windows Vista® Ultimate) or Windows Media Player (Windows Vista® Home Basic).
Button Picture - Opens Media Center (Windows Vista® Home Premium or Windows® Vista Ultimate) or Windows Photo Gallery to view your photo library.
Button Internet browser - Opens default Internet browser
Button Mail - Opens default email application
Button Instant messenger - Opens default Instant Messenger program

Right side panel:

Multimedia buttons

Button Description
Button Play/ Pause - Plays or pauses the CD or DVD.
Button Stop - Stops playing the CD or DVD.
Button Next - Skips ahead one CD track or DVD chapter. Fast forward when button is held down.
Button Previous - Skips back one CD track or DVD chapter. Rewind when button is held down.
Button Capacitive volume control - Swipe your finger on the volume sensor strip to change the volume.
To increase volume, move from the - towards the +. To decrease volume, move from the + towards the -.

Tip:

  • You can start swiping at any point on the strip.
  • The duration of the swipe determines the amount of the change.
  • If you hold down the on either end of the strip (+/-), the volume control will adjust in the same direction (up/down).
  • Tapping on the strip does not change the volume.
Button Mute - Mutes the sound. Press again to restore the sound.
