Q: How do I disable the Ambient Light feature?A: The Ambient Light Sensor can be both disabled and enabled in the BIOS.
Follow these steps to disable the Ambient Light feature using the BIOS Setup utility.
- Connect the AC adapter, and then turn on your notebook.
- As soon as your notebook starts and you see a startup screen, press F2.
- In the BIOS Setup utility, select the Advanced menu.
- Select Ambient Light Sensor, and then press the spacebar to select Disabled.
- On the Exit menu, select Exit Saving Changes, and then press ENTER.
- Select Yes, and then press ENTER.
To enable the Ambient Light feature, follow the above steps and select Enabled in step 4.
