Q: How do I disable the Ambient Light feature?

A: The Ambient Light Sensor can be both disabled and enabled in the BIOS.

Follow these steps to disable the Ambient Light feature using the BIOS Setup utility.

1. Connect the AC adapter, and then turn on your notebook.

2. As soon as your notebook starts and you see a startup screen, press F2.

3. In the BIOS Setup utility, select the Advanced menu.

4. Select Ambient Light Sensor, and then press the spacebar to select Disabled.

5. On the Exit menu, select Exit Saving Changes, and then press ENTER.

6. Select Yes, and then press ENTER.

To enable the Ambient Light feature, follow the above steps and select Enabled in step 4.
