This is a 65-watt AC adapter. The AC adapter should be used right away to fully charge the battery for your notebook. When you finish using your notebook for the first time, turn off your notebook and leave your notebook connected to AC power until the battery is fully charged.

Perform the following steps to connect the alternating current (AC) adapter.

2. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
