Ambient light sensor This convertible notebook includes an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on the amount of light available in the environment around the notebook. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the BIOS Setup Utility.

Follow these steps to turn the ambient light sensor on or off:

  1. Turn on the convertible notebook and as soon as you see the startup screen, press the F2 key.

  2. In the BIOS Setup Utility, select the Advanced menu.

  3. On the Advanced menu, select ALS Configuration, and then press the spacebar to select On or Off.

  4. On the Exit menu, select Exit Saving Changes, and then press ENTER.
