Q: How do I program the Windows Journal button in Windows XP?

A: You can program the Windows Journal button to perform an action other than opening Windows Journal.

Follow these steps to program the Windows Journal button.

  1. In Microsoft® Windows® XP, from the Start menu, click or tap Control Panel.

  2. With Control Panel in Category View, click or tap Printers and Other Hardware.

  3. In the Printers and Other Hardware window, double-click or double-tap Tablet and Pen Settings.

  4. In the Tablet and Pen Settings dialog box, click or tap the Tablet Buttons tab.

  5. Click or tap Journal Button, and then click or tap Change.

  6. In the Tablet Button Actions dialog box, select an action, and then (if applicable) select a program.
