What is the Gateway Download Assistant? How does it work?
Gateway Download Assistant is an application designed to assist you with downloading, extracting, and installing drivers from the Gateway Support Web site. By installing the Gateway Download Assistant, you are provided an easy-to-use interface for downloading drivers from the Gateway Web site.
- Begin by locating and selecting the Gateway Download Assistant from the More Options area on either the My Downloads or Browse All Downloads page.

- Click Download Now to install the Gateway Download Assistant.

- Follow the steps in the Gateway Download Assistant Setup Wizard to install the software.

- After installing the Gateway Download Assistant, locate the file you wish to download from either the My Downloads or Browse All Downloads page.

Download options vary, depending on the file itself. All files are capable of being downloaded and/or extracted through the Gateway Download Assistant. Some files are also capable of automatic installation. Capability of the Gateway Download Assistant depends on the file type and function. Options default to the maximum capability of the specified file.
- To modify download options, click Settings. On this screen you can change downloading options, including folder and extract options. Make your choices, and then click OK to start the download.

- In addition, you can modify your settings. From the Start menu, point to Programs or All Programs, Gateway, Download Assistant, and then click Configure Settings.
- You can enable or disable the Gateway Download Assistant by clicking the check box within the Settings menu. You can also enable or disable the application on the More Options area of the My Downloads or Browse All Downloads pages.
