Floppy disk drive connector   The floppy interface can be configured as follows in the BIOS Setup Utility.
  • 360-kilobyte (KB) or 1.2-megabyte (MB) 5.25-inch media
  • 720-KB, 1.2-MB, 1.44-MB, or 2.88-MB 3.5-inch media
Note: Configuring the floppy interface for 1.2-MB 3.5-inch (3-mode floppy) requires the use of special floppy disk drives and a driver for the specific operating system. This is not supplied by Gateway.

The I/O controller is software compatible with the 82077 floppy disk drive controller and supports a single drive only, in both PC-AT and PS/2 modes.
