There is no primary or slave drive when using Serial ATA hard drives.
When two Serial ATA hard drives are not configured in a Raid0 configuration, two hard drives are listed in the BIOS on the boot menu. If desired, the boot drive order can be modified.
If using Raid0 with two Serial ATA hard drives, only the Raid0 volume is displayed on the boot menu. The hard drives are used as a single drive for boot purposes.
