The front USB port cable is connected to this 2 × 5 pin header. Pin 1 is located next to the silk-screened arrow on the motherboard. Note: Be careful to maintain Pin 1 orientation if reseating the front panel USB cable. All pins should be covered by the plug on the USB cable. Failure to connect the USB cable properly causes the motherboard and attached USB devices to become hot to the touch.

Note: When reseating any components or working inside the case, unplug the power cord and wait for the green light to turn off (10 seconds maximum). There is more available current supplied to this motherboard than others. Failure to unplug the power cord may cause shorts and hot spots on the motherboard and the component you were working with.
