Primary IDE connector

This connector is used for all IDE devices, most commonly ATA or UATA66/100 hard drives or CD/DVD drives.

When connecting the IDE disk drive cables to the IDE disk drive connectors, maintain pin 1 orientation. In this illustration, pin 1 is on the left side.
