Back panel ports This is a view of the ports available on the rear of the motherboard. Refer to the following table for more information.

Why is there a cover on the video port of the motherboard?

Item Description
A PS/2 port for the mouse. It is color coded to match the connectors on the mouse.
B PS/2 port for the keyboard. It is color coded to match the connectors on the keyboard.
C This is a stack of four USB ports. They are all USB 2.0 compatible.
D This is the single serial port available on the motherboard. It is configurable through the system BIOS Setup Utility.
E This is the VGA port for the integrated video. If the computer's configuration includes an AGP video graphics card, do not use this port.
F This is a stack of two USB ports. They are USB 2.0 compatible.
G Connect a microphone to this analog microphone jack.
H Connect the speaker cable to this analog line out/speaker jack.
I Connect an input cable from another device to this analog line in jack.
J This is the RJ45 NIC connector. The LEDs on the corners of the connector indicate the status of the connection.
K The motherboard has a legacy parallel port. It is configurable through the system BIOS Setup Utility.

LED Color LED State Description
Green Off 10-Mbps data rate is selected.
On 100-Mbps data rate is selected.
Amber Off LAN link is not established.
On (steady) LAN link is established.
On (blinking) The computer is communicating with another computer on the LAN.
