The integrated SoundMAX chipset uses the Analog Devices, Inc. 1885 Integrated Digital Audio codec. The SoundMAX chipset features the following:
- ADI 1885 Integrated Digital Audio codec
- Independent channels for Line in, Line out, and Mic in
- 16-bit stereo I/O up to 48 kilohertz (kHz)
- Multiple sample rates
- Support for audio states D0, D2, and D3
- High-quality CD input with ground sense
- Stereo line level output
- Power management support
- Full duplex variable sampling rate (7 kHz to 48 kHz) with 1 hertz (Hz) resolution
- Phat Stereo 3-D stereo enhancement
