Network Driver Installation - Restoration CD 15.0 to 16.7
- Copy the necessary network files from the CD to the root directory of the hard disk. The path on the CD is Netcard\E1600.
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. In Control Panel, double-click the Network icon. In the Network Configuration dialog box, click Yes to install Windows NT Networking.

- The Network Setup Wizard starts.

- Select the Wired to the network check box, and then click Next.

- Click Select from list.

- In the Select Network Adapter dialog box, click Have Disk.

- In the Insert Disk dialog box, type: c:\E1600 (assuming that this is the folder where the drivers were located after you copied them to the hard disk). Click OK.

- In the Network Setup Wizard dialog box, click Next.

- Select the appropriate network protocol check boxes, and then click Next.
Note: TCP/IP is the most common, but others might be necessary according to your specific needs.

- The network services that are to be installed are listed. Click Next.

- Windows NT is ready to install the networking components. Click Next.

- Insert the Windows NT CD into the CD-ROM drive. In the Windows NT Setup dialog box, verify that the directory is correct, and then click Continue.

- If necessary, re-insert the original media into the drive. In the Setup Message dialog box, click OK.

- In the Network Setup Wizard dialog box, click Next.

- Windows NT continues installing the software.

- In the Microsoft TCP/IP Properties dialog box, on the IP Address tab, in the Adapter text box, type the IP address or click Obtain an IP address from a DHCP server. This step depends on your computer's configuration. You must know this configuration or get the information from the network administrator.

- Click the DNS tab, and then type the domain name system (DNS) information.

- Click the WINS Address tab, and then type the appropriate information.

- Click the Routing tab, and then select the Enable IP Forwarding check box, if necessary. Click OK.

- You can now check the bindings for:
- All services
- All protocols
- All adapters
and confirm that these settings are correct.
- In the Network Setup Wizard dialog box, click Next.

- Type the computer name. Click Workgroup or Domain, and then specify which workgroup or domain. If you click Domain, you can also select the Create a Computer Account in the Domain check box to create an account for the computer on the domain. If the computer is replacing another computer on the domain, this is not necessary.
- In the Create a Computer Account in DOMAIN Domain dialog box, type the user name and password of the person doing the installation. This person must have administrative rights to create accounts. Click OK.

- In the Network Setup Wizard dialog box, click Finish to conclude the installation.

- In the Network Settings Change dialog box, click Yes to restart the computer.

- To view the properties of the network interface card (NIC), in Control Panel, double-click the Network icon.
- In the Network dialog box, click the Adapters tab.

- On the Adapters tab, double-click Intel[R] PRO/100 VE Network Connection to view the properties.
