The motherboard has two DIMM sockets. The DIMMs should be 168-pin, run at 100 megahertz (MHz) and 3.3 volts (V), have gold connectors, be unbuffered, and non-ECC. |
Supported memory module sizes include 32-megabyte (MB), 64-MB, 128-MB, and 256-MB. The minimum total memory size is 64 MB with a maximum of 512 MB.
The dynamic RAM (DRAM) controller uses the JEDEC standard serial presence detect (SPD) mechanism to detect memory and array configurations. The DIMM sockets can be populated in any order. There are no jumper settings required for the memory size, because the memory is automatically detected by the motherboards BIOS Setup utility. The DRAM timing register, which provides the DRAM speed grade control for the entire memory array, is programmed to use the timings of the slowest DRAMs installed.
