Q: Why is the picture on the dual input LCD monitor screen distorted or scrambled?

A: For LCD monitors with dual inputs (those that accept both analog and digital signals), video may become distorted or scrambled if cables are connected from the computer to both the VGA (analog) and DVI (digital) connectors on the monitor at the same time.

Use only one type of connection at a time, either VGA or DVI. Verify that only one type of video cable is plugged in before doing any other troubleshooting.
