Q: What is pincushioning?

A: Pincushioning alters the shape of on-screen images, so that the left and right sides bow inward, creating somewhat of an hour-glass shape. The opposite effect, when the left and right sides of the image bow out, is called barrel distortion.

To achieve the correct rectangular image on the 17-inch monitor, use the Pincushion button.

If your monitor does not have a Pincushion button, the pincushion effect may be able to be adjusted through the monitor's on-screen display (OSD). Refer to your model monitor's product information for more about OSD settings.
