On-Screen Display (OSD)

The following table provides information about the on-screen display (OSD) for the Gateway VX1120 22-inch Flat-CRT Monitor. Use the Minus button or Plus button buttons on the front of the monitor to decrease or increase settings where applicable.

Adjust contrast Contrast Change the contrast setting of the display.
Adjust brightness Bright Change the brightness setting of the display
Adjust color Color No Select Color-1, Color-2, or Color-3 mode setting.
Adjust red tint R-Gain Change the red color level of the color mode selected by Color No
Adjust green tint G-Gain Change the green color level of the color mode selected by Color No.
Adjust blue tint B-Gain Change the blue color level of the color mode selected by Color No.
Adjust color temperature Color Temperature Change the color temperature of the color mode selected by Color No.
Color reset Color Reset Restore the color-gain and color temperature of the color mode selected by Color no to the factory preset.
Adjust display size Horiz Size Change the width of the image on the screen.
Move image left or right Horiz Phase Move the image on the screen to the left or the right.
Adjust height Vert Size Change the height of the image on the screen.
Adjust veritcal position Vert Position Move the image on the screen down or up.
Adjust pincushioning Pincushion Remove any inward or outward curve along the sides of the image on the screen.
Ajust top and bottom width Keystone Equalize the width of the top and bottom of the image on the screen.
Adjust corner width Top Pin Change the width of the screen image near the top corners.
Adjust bottom corner width Bottom Pin Change the width of the screen image near the bottom corners.
Move screen image Pin Balance Move the top and bottom of the screen image to the right or left.
Screen slant Key Balance Make the screen slant to the left or right.
Adjust vertical linear balance Vert Lin Balance Vertically expand the bottom of the screen and compress the top.
Or vertically compress the bottom of the screen and expand the top.
Adjust vertical linear balance Vert Lin Vertically compress the center of the screen and expand the top and bottom.
Or vertically expand the center of the screen and compress the top and bottom.
Rotate image Rotation Rotate the image clockwise or counterclockwise.
Decrease or expand all sides Zoom Narrow or expand the screen to all sides.
Geometry reset Geometry Reset Restore geometry settings to factory preset levels.
Fine picture mode Fine Picture Mode Select the setting which provides the most pleasing image.
Adjust horizontal convergence Horiz Convergence Adjust the horizontal beam alignment on the full screen area.
Adjust vertical convergence Vert Convergence Adjust the vertical beam alignment on the full screen area.
Adjust top-left corner purity Corner Purity (TL) Adjust the purity condition on the top-left corner.
Adjust top-right corner purity Corner Purity (TR) Adjust the purity condition on the top-right corner.
Adjust bottom-left corner purity Corner Purity (BL) Adjust the purity condition on the bottom-left corner.
Adjust bottom-right corner purity Corner Purity (BR) Adjust the purity condition on the bottom-right corner.
Moire cancel Moire Cancel Select the Moire Cancel mode off or on.
Moire cancel level Moire Cancel Level Decrease the level of the moire-clear wave.
Adjusts background colors Clamp Pulse Position To eliminate an excessive green or white background that may occur when both Sync-On-Green and external sync signals are applied to the monitor.
  • Clamp the video signal at the front of the H-Sync pulse.
  • Clamp the video signal at the back of the H-Sync pulse.
    If you connect to an older Macintosh, you may need to press the (+) button.
Video level Video Level Select 1.0V or 0.7V of video input.
Degauss monitor Degauss Eliminate possible color shading or impurity due to magnetic effects.
Power save Power Save Select the constant power consumption or the power-save mode.
If you select the power save mode, the computer must be set for power management.
Control lock Control Lock Unlock or lock the OSD function.
Brightness and contrast are exceptions to the lock setting.
OSD position OSD Position Move the OSD screen position in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction.
Factory settings All Reset Restore all OSD settings to the factory preset.
GTF Auto Adjust Adjust screen size, position and distortions automatically.
Diagnosis Diagnosis Displays the current scanning frequency, preset number, and signal input connection.
Language Language Select the language used in the OSD.
