Rear view This is a rear view of the monitor. To set up the 22-inch monitor, follow these procedures:

  1. Verify that the power to both the computer and the monitor is turned off.

  2. Connect the female end of the power cable to the power receptacle on the back panel of the monitor and the other end to a grounded 120 or 240 volts alternating current (VAC) outlet.

  3. The video cable is not integrated into the monitor. Connect the video signal cable to the signal input connector of the monitor and secure the screws. Connect the video signal cable to the matching video output receptacle on the rear panel of the computer. This connection usually is marked Video on the back of the computer. Each connector has locking screws; verify that these are secured.

  1. Turn on the monitor and the computer.

  2. Windows recognizes the monitor as a Gateway VX1120. Connect the USB cable to the USB upstream port on the rear of the monitor and to the USB port on the rear of the computer. If a USB device has been installed on the computer before, Windows recognizes the USB hub as a Generic USB Hub automatically. If a USB device has never been installed on the computer, an enumeration of the USB hub must be done.
