The control panel contains screen controls and functions that adjust any of the 31-inch monitor's characteristics. The functions of each are described in the following going from left to right on the control panel.

The degauss button magnetically realigns the CRT display in addition to removing any magnetic buildup on the screen.

The ROTATE button rotates the raster. Pressing and holding the button rotates the image. When the rotation reaches its extreme, the image rotates in the reverse direction. Release the button when the image is aligned.

The SELECT button cycles through five functions for adjustment. These functions are grouped together in the center of the control panel and are represented with a corresponding LED that displays which function is active. The five functions are as follows: 1) horizontal size, 2) horizontal centering, 3) vertical size, 4) vertical centering and 5) pincushioning.

The MINUS SIGN and PLUS SIGN adjuster buttons decrease or increase the particular function selected. These two control buttons are located between the SELECT button and the light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for the adjustment functions.

Horizontal size LED

Press the SELECT button until this LED is lit. Press the minus sign button to decrease the horizontal display size on the screen. Press the plus sign button to increase the display size on the screen.

Horizontal centering LED

Press the SELECT button until this LED is lit. Press the minus sign button to move the display to the left. Press the plus sign button to move the display to the right.

Vertical size LED

Press the SELECT button until this LED is lit. Press the minus sign button to decrease the vertical display size on the screen. Press the plus sign button to increase the vertical display size on the screen.

Veritical centering LED

Press the SELECT button until this LED is lit. Press the minus sign button to move the display down. Press the plus sign button to move the display up.

Pincushion LED

Press the SELECT button until this LED is lit. Press the minus sign button to bow in the display on the sides of the screen. Press the plus sign button to bow out the display on the sides of the screen.

Contrast

The MINUS SIGN and plus sign buttons, which are located to the extreme right of the LED display functions, decreases or increases the contrast of dark and light images on the screen.

Brightness

The MINUS SIGN and plus sign buttons, which are located to the extreme right of the LED display functions, decrease or increase the image's brightness.

Note: To set this monitor to its factory default settings, turn off the computer. Restart the computer while simultaneously pressing the degauss button and either one of the brightness buttons.
