Q: How do I create a bootable GWSCAN 5.11 floppy disk?

A: This document explains how, after downloading gwscan511.exe from gateway.com, you can create a bootable floppy disk to run the GWSCAN program from.

Note: The floppy disk you use must be a disk that has not been formatted from a computer running Microsoft® Windows® 2000, Windows NT™, or Windows XP.

  1. Locate and the double-click the GWSCAN511.exe file you downloaded. Files are extracted to the C:\Cabs\GWSCAN511 folder.

  2. Format the floppy disk you want to use as an MS-DOS startup disk (see note above).

  3. Copy all files from C:\Cabs\GWSCAN511, except gwscan511.iso, to the floppy disk.

  4. Restart the computer with the floppy disk in the floppy disk drive. At the A:\ prompt, to run the program, type GWSCAN.exe and then press the ENTER key.
