The Gateway® 30-inch HD-Ready LCD TV features an on-screen display (OSD) that lets you adjust and save a variety of settings, such as contrast, brightness, and parental controls. The LCD TV saves the changes you make to the settings, even if you turn off the TV.

OSD menus and options can vary depending on the video input source that you are using. When opened, the OSD shows the options available only for the type of input source currently selected. Available input sources are:

VGA DVI HDTV DVD AV1 AV2/S TV On-screen Display This graphic shows the Input Select menu. If you want to change the input type before opening the OSD, press the Input button on the front panel controls of the TV. Select an input type from this menu, by pressing the CH Up Arrow and Down Arrow and Vol Left Arrow and Right Arrow buttons to select an input source. This menu closes automatically.

On this graphic, click each input type to view the OSD screen associated with it.

Note: If you only want to adjust settings for the currently selected input type, you do not need to open this menu.

After the input type is selected, or if you choose not to change the input type, you are ready to use the OSD. The OSD is opened, closed, navigated, and adjusted using the front panel controls on the TV. Refer to the following table for more information.

VOL Left Arrow Right Arrow Increases, decreases, or selects OSD option settings.
CH Up Arrow Down Arrow Use to select OSD menu options.
Menu
  • OSD inactive: Press to open the OSD.
  • OSD active: Use to select an OSD menu. Press repeatedly to close the OSD.

    Note: The OSD autmatically closes when left idle.
