Front Controls

These are the controls located on the front of the Gateway® 56-inch Rear Projection TV. Some of these controls have dual functions depending on whether the on-screen display (OSD) is in use or not. Refer to the following tables for more information.

Item Description Function
A Remote Control Sensor Receives signals from the remote control. Do not block this sensor.
B Volume +/-
Adjust (left/right arrows)
Press to increase or decrease the volume level
OSD active: Press to adjusts OSD option settings
C Channel +/-
Adjust (down/up arrows)
Press to change the channel
OSD active: Press to select OSD options
D OK Press to open a selected menu in the OSD
E Menu/Exit Press to opens and close the OSD
F Input Press to toggle between available input sources
G Power Press once to turn on the TV. Press twice to turn off the TV. After turning off the TV, wait two minutes before pressing this button again.
H Power Status LED In conjunction with the lamp status LED, displays the TV's power status.
I Lamp Status LED In conjunction with the power status LED, displays the TV's lamp status.

Status LED Information

Normal Operation
State Power LED Lamp LED Description
AC off Not lit Not lit AC power is not connected.
Standby mode Green Not lit AC power is connected and the TV is in standby mode.
Warm-up/Cool down mode Green Flashing AC power is connected and the TV has just been turned on or off with the power button.
Operation mode Green Not lit AC power is connected, the power button has been pressed, and the lamp has warmed up.
Error Codes
Error Code Power LED Lamp LED Description
21 Flashes green twice, then orange once. Not lit One of the cooling fans has failed.
32 Flashes green three times, then orange twice. Flashing Lamp trouble or failure. The TV automatically shuts down and then restarts to attempt to correct the problem.
52 Flashes green five times, then orange twice. Not lit Hardware error. To reset the TV, turn off the TV, wait one minute and then turn on the TV.

Note: Contact Gateway support if the error is not resolved by resetting the TV.
