Q: How do I mount the external speakers to the 50-inch plasma TV?

A: Follow these steps to mount the speakers to the 50-inch plasma TV.

  1. Remove the five screws from the rear TV housing.

  2. Attach the speaker by aligning the holes on the speaker bracket to the five holes on the rear TV housing. Use the five screws that were removed in step one.

  3. Before tightening the screws, check the alignment of the speaker with the TV. The speaker front and top should be flush with the front and top of the TV. Tighten the screws once you have the speaker in the proper alignment.

  4. Connect the speaker wires from the back of the TV to the Black and Red spring terminal connector on the speaker. Maintain polarity by matching the red wire (+) with the red connector and matching the black wire (-) with the black connector. To connect the wire, push the spring loaded lever back to open the connector. While holding the lever back take the end of the cable and insert the bare end of the cable into the opening of the connector. Make sure to push in the cable as far as you can with out bending the end of the cable off. Release the lever to secure the cable.

  5. Repeat the above steps to mount the other speaker to the other side of the TV.

  6. Now that you have the speakers mounted and the speaker wires from the TV connected to the speakers, verify the audio settings for the TV. Reconnect the power cable to the TV and turn the TV on. Access the audio menu by using the TV remote, press [Menu] then [>]. Use the arrow keys and [Set] button to adjust the following settings:

    • Bass - 85
    • Treble - 65
    • Surround - Stereo
    • Inner Spkr - ON
    • Audio Output - VARIABLE

    Note: You will not receive sound from the speakers if you do not have the correct audio source connections going into the TV.
