Mount Optional Speakers on the TV

The following is a list of items needed to mount the optional speakers on the Gateway® 30-inch LCD TV.

  • Two speakers, part number 7004987
  • Two angled mounting brackets, part number 8007994
  • Two straight mounting brackets, part number 8007995
  • Eight mounting screws, part number 8007998
  • Speaker wire, part number 8007996

Mount the speakers

Speaker Stand Removed 1.  The speakers can stand alone. Before mounting them on the TV, remove the speaker stands.
Secure angled bracket using one screw for each. 2.  Secure the angled brackets near the top rear of each speaker using one screw for each.
Secure the straight brackets near the bottom rear of each speaker using one screw for each. 3.  Secure the straight brackets near the bottom rear of each speaker using one screw for each.
Mount the speakers to the sides of the TV by using the remaining screws to secure the brackets to the rear of the TV.

Speaker Attached

 4.  Mount the speakers to the sides of the TV by using the remaining screws to secure the brackets to the rear of the TV.
Connect speaker wire to the audio jacks 5.  Using the speaker wire, connect the audio jacks on the rear of each speaker to the speaker connection jacks on the rear of the LCD TV.
Rear view with speakers attached This is the rear of the TV with the speakers mounted.
Front view with speakers mounted This is the front of the TV with the speakers mounted.
