Main Power Switch/Power Connector This is a close view of the main power switch (A) and power connector (B) on the rear of the Gateway® 23-inch or 26-inch LCD TV.

Turn on the TV:

  1. Connect the power cord to the power cord connector on the rear of the TV, and then plug the other end of the power cord into a correctly grounded electrical outlet or surge protector.

  2. Press the main power switch. On the front of the TV, the Status LED on the front of the TV lights orange, indicating that the TV is ready to turn on.

  3. On the front of the TV or using the remote control, press the POWER button. The Status LED on the front turns green.

    Note: If the TV is not going to be used for an extended period of time, turn off the main power switch to completely power off the TV. For added protection during a lightning storm or when it is left unattended or unused for long periods of time, unplug the LCD TV from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.
