Q: How do I connect the Gateway AR-230 DVD Recorder to a TV using component video?

A: If your TV supports it, component video is the best video connection available. For more information, see the "Understanding video connections" section of the User's Guide.

  1. On the rear of the Gateway AR-230 DVD recorder in the AV Out area, connect the green component Y jack to the green component Y1 jack on the rear of your TV.

  2. Connect the blue component Cb jack on the rear of your DVD recorder to the blue component PB1/CB1 jack on the rear of your TV.

  3. Connect the red component Cr jack on the rear of your DVD recorder to the red PR1/CR1 jack on the rear of your TV.

  4. Connect the red and white audio jacks on the rear of your DVD recorder to the red and white Audio In jacks on the rear of your TV. For more information, see the "Connecting audio components" section of the User's Guide.
