Q: How do I use the Setup menu on the Gateway DVD Recorder?

A: The Setup menu lets you adjust settings and select options for your DVD recorder. For example, you can specify your TV type, set parental controls, and specify your audio type.

To use the Setup menu:

  1. Turn on the DVD recorder and the TV it is connected to. If needed, set the TV to the correct input source to receive the DVD signal. Refer to the TV's user guide for information on how to do this.

  2. On the DVD recorder's remote control, to open the Setup menu, press the Setup button.

  3. In the Setup menu, press the up or down arrow button on the remote control to select a menu option, and then press the Enter button.

  4. If an option has sub-options, press the right arrow button to select a sub-option, and then press the Enter button.

  5. Press the up or down arrow button to adjust the option, and then press the Enter button.

  6. Press the Setup button to close the Setup menu.
