Q: How do I set the date and time on the Gateway DVD Recorder?

A: Setting the correct time and date is very important if you plan to use the Timed Recording feature to schedule a recording of a TV program.

Set the date and time

  1. Press the Power button to turn on your DVD recorder.

  2. Press the Setup button.

  3. In Setup, press the Up or Down button to select System, and then press the Enter button.

  4. On the System menu, press the Up or Down button to select Date, then press the Enter button.

  5. Press a number button or the Up or Down button to enter a digit, and then press the Right button to go to the next digit. If you need to change a digit, press the Left button to go back.

  6. When the correct date is set, press the Enter button to confirm the date.

  7. Press the Up or Down button to select Time, then press the Enter button.

  8. Press a number button or the Up or Down button to enter a digit, and then press the Right button to go to the next digit. If you need to change a digit, press the Left button to go back.

  9. When the correct time is set, press the Enter button to confirm the time.

  10. Press the Setup button to close the Setup menu.
