Q: How long can each Record Quality mode record a TV Program?

A: The Gateway DVD Recorder can record in four different quality modes; HQ, SP, EP, and SLP. The quality modes are selected within the setup of the Record options. The modes specify the compression ratio for the recording, which affects the playback quality. The shorter the recording time, the lower the compression ratio, the higher the quality of the playback.
