Main View The DC-T23 has all the features you have come to expect from a high-quality digital camera. Slide the lens cover open and it turns on, slide it closed and it is off. It automatically powers off if idle for over 3 minutes. The 4X digital zoom lets you bring the action up close. And when it is time to make prints, the DC-T23's high-resolution gives you images with enough detail to make large, beautiful 4-inch x 6-inch prints.

The 16MB internal memory with SD/MMC expansion slot (the size of a postage stamp) allows you to expand the memory capacity so that you can store more of your photos and video clips. And when you are ready, the images can be easily transferred to your computer to share with family and friends.

Shoot through the optical viewfinder, or compose using the bright 1.5-inch TFT LCD display, which shows information about the shooting conditions (image size, flash, and so forth). The built-in LCD panel allows you to see the image you have taken, which will show you what portion of the scene will be captured by the camera.

The flash and self-timer are convenient utilities you can use when taking still image pictures. Use the flash if lighting is not adequate and the self-timer function for taking self-portrait photos. For those with unsteady hands, you can attach an optional tripod to minimize camera movement and ensure optimal image quality, particularly while taking self-portraits, longer movies, or in macro mode.

White Balance lets you set the camera's color temperature based on your lighting environment. If you know the color conditions of your shooting environment, such as the sunny (bright), cloudy (dim), fluorescent (high color condition) and tungsten (low color condition) situations, you can select the mode you consider most appropriate.

Want more than still pictures? The DC-T23 also has a movie mode that lets you shoot video clips. This popular feature lets you record short bursts of video footage at a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. This camera can also act as a PC camera, allowing you to hold a videoconference and talk to business associates over the Internet or conduct real-time conversations with friends or family.
