- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cord and all external device cables.
- Remove the access panel.
- It is not required, but for more working room inside the case, you can lift the center bracket up a short distance, and then disconnect the power and signal cables from the hard drive. Set the bracket aside.

- The add-in card slots are located in the rear corner opposite the power supply.

- There may be cables routed across the card slots. Without disconnecting the cables, free them from the cable ties on the side of the case, and then move them away from the card slots.
- Flip open the add-in card retention latch.

- Pull up on both ends of the card to loosen and remove it.

Note: If you are removing a card from a PCI Express ×16 slot (not present on all motherboards), before pulling up on the card, press and hold the slot retention clip away from the card.
Replace an add-in card
- Align the card with the slot, and then press the card firmly into place.

- Press both ends of the card to ensure that it is properly seated.

Note: If you installed the card in a PCI Express ×16 slot (not present on all motherboards), ensure that the slot retention clip is engaged to secure the card in the slot.
- Flip the add-in card retention latch closed to secure the card in the case.

- Route internal cables through the cable ties on the side of the case. Ensure that you do not pull or accidentally disconnect the cables.
- If previously removed, following these steps to replace the center bracket. Otherwise skip to the step 6.
- Hold the center bracket close to the case, and then connect the hard drive power and signal cables to the rear of the hard drive.

- Place the center bracket in the case so that the arrow markings on each end align with the arrow markings on the case.

- Replace the access panel.
- Connect the external device cables and power cord, and then turn on the computer.
