A Optical drive bays
Two optical drives is optional. If only one drive is installed, it is installed in the top bay. The second bay is then covered by a solid bay cover.
B Optional floppy disk drive.
If no floppy drive is installed, a cover without a floppy disk slot is installed over this bay.
C Optional media card reader USB 2.0 port,
If no media card reader is installed, a cover without a slot for the device is installed over this bay.
D Optional media card reader SD/MMC/SM/MS/MS-PRO slot

This slot accepts the following types of media cards:

  • SecureDigital (SD)
  • MultiMedia Card (MMC)
  • SmartMedia (SM)
  • Memory Stick (MS)
  • Memory Stick Pro (MS Pro)
E Optional media card reader CF/MICRODRIVE slot

This slot accepts the following types of media cards:

  • CompactFlash (CF)
  • Microdrive
Note: If neither the optional floppy disk drive or optional media card reader are installed, a solid bay cover is installed in that area.
F Power button/LED
G Two IEEE 1394 ports
H Two USB 2.0 ports
I Headphone jack
J Microphone jack
