- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cord.
- Remove the left side panel.
- Remove the front bezel.
- Remove the top bezel
- The media card reader is the larger device mounted on the top of the computer case. It has one cable connected to it.

- At the left side of the media card reader, remove the side screw.

- At the rear of the media card reader, remove the rear screw, and the lift the device off the case.

- Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the media card reader. The cable has a clip that must be pressed before the cable can be pulled free.
Replace the media card reader
- Place the media card reader on the top of the computer case. Tabs on the right side of the reader's bezel fit over and under the USB port / power switch assembly.
- Connect the USB cable to the rear of the media card reader.
- Secure the media card reader to the top of the case with one screw on the left side, and one screw at the rear.

- Replace the top bezel
- Replace the front bezel.
- Replace the left side panel.
- Plug in the power cord, and then turn on the computer.
