I/O ports area The area behind the I/O ports door on the front of the computer provides input/output features. Starting at the left, the features are:

  • 3.5-inch drive bay with a portable media docking bay installed. The docking bay accomodates an optional removable Gateway® 2.5-inch USB hard drive.
  • One IEEE 1394a port
  • One microphone jack
  • One headphone jack
  • One composite video RCA jack (yellow)
  • One left channel audio out RCA jack (white)
  • One right channel audio out RCA jack (red)

Note: The removable Gateway 2.5-inch USB hard drive is designed for use with the docking bay. Do not attempt to use other 2.5-inch USB drives with the docking bay.
