A: Remove memory
- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cord.
- Remove the case access panel.
- Remove the hard drive.
- Remove the external drive cage.
- Remove the power supply.
- Inside the case, the memory slots and modules are located near the center of the case.
- Press the release latches at each end of the module outward. The module lifts from the slot slightly.

- Handling the module only by the edges, lift it out of the socket. Take care not to touch the chips or the gold connectors on the module.
Replace memory
- Align the memory module with the slot on the motherboard, and then firmly press it into the slot.
- Ensure that the tabs at each end of the slot are in the closed position to secure the module in the slot.
- Replace the power supply.
- Replace the external drive cage.
- Remove the hard drive.
- Replace the case access panel.
- Connect the computer's power cord, and then turn on the computer.
