- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cord.
- Remove the computer's right side panel.
- Inside the case, locate the 3.5-inch drive bays near the front of the case above the large green air duct.

- At the rear of the device being removed, do one of following:
- If the device is a floppy or other drive, disconnect the data and power cables.
- If the device is a media card reader, follow its USB cable to the connection on the motherboard. Note the connection location, and then disconnect the cable.
- Slide the 3.5-inch drive bay release lever toward the rear of the case. When the bay is unlocked, an unlock symbol is visible.

- Slide the device out of the front of the case.

Note: If removing a media card reader, ensure that the cable does not snag on internal components.
Replace the device
- At the front of the case, slide the device cable (if present) and then the device into the bay.

- Lock the device into place by sliding the 3.5-inch drive bay release lever toward the front of the case.
- At the rear of the device, do one of the following:
- If the device is a floppy or other drive, connect the data and power cables to the rear of the drive.
- If the device is a media card reader, connect its USB cable to the motherboard.
- Replace the right side panel.
- Connect the computer's power cord, and then turn on the computer.
